CURVED/labs: Apple Magic Keyboard meets OLED
Jeder redet über das Macbook mit OLED-Tasten. Aber hey, warum sollen nur die Macbooks in den Genuss kommen? Hier kommt das Magic Keyboard mit OLED ins Spiel.

Zur WWDC 2016 kam es leider nicht, doch etliche Leaks legen den Verdacht nahe: Demnächst bekommen wir ein überarbeitetes Macbook zu Gesicht. Die auffälligste Neuerung soll eine Reihe OLED-Tasten sein, die den Platz der Funktionstasten einnimmt. Erst kürzlich ist ein Foto aufgetaucht, das die neue Leiste beim MacBook zeigen soll. Gerüchten zufolge soll die Produktion des Gerätes bereits begonnen haben.
Der Clou: Weil es sich dabei um ein touchfähiges Display handelt, würde sich das Erscheinungsbild anpassen lassen: mit eigenen Favoriten-Tasten oder aber speziellen Tastaturbelegungen für Anwendungen. Die OLED-Leiste könnte etwa den Fortschrittsbalken aus YouTube anzeigen oder die Tastatur um Play-Buttons für Spotify ergänzen.

Weil es sich dabei um eine eigene Tastatur handelt, lassen sich damit sowohl der iMac, als auch der Mac mini und der Mac Pro ausstatten.

The Macbook with OLED keys is all the rage. But hey, why only the Macbook? This is where the Magic Keyboard with OLED comes into play.
It didn’t make it to WWDC, but several leaks give grounds to the assumption: We’ll be seeing a re-engineered Macbook soon. The most prominent new feature is supposed to be a row of OLED fn-keys replacing the current set of function keys. Just recently a photo supposedly showing the Macbook’s new touch panel showed up. According to rumours the production of said device has already begun.
The trick: Since the display is touch sensitive, its visual appearance would be customizable – with either individually adaptable favourite keys or specifically assigned keys for apps. The OLED touch panel could for instance show YouTube’s progress bar or add play buttons specifically for Spotify.
Since the set of OLED keys is a separate keyboard, the iMac as well as the Mac mini and the Mac Pro can be equipped with it.
